Tutor Training

Upcoming Tutor Training Opportunities in Wisconsin

If you are interested in learning how to teach reading, spelling, and language structure to students with dyslexia and other learning disabilities, you may want to consider one of these Orton Gillingham training options.

Initial Level O-G Teacher Certification at the Children’s Dyslexia Centers
Children’s Dyslexia Centers in Eau Claire, Madison, and Milwaukee start new training classes each year.  CDC training classes are accredited by the International Multisensory Structured Language Education Council (IMSLEC) and recognized by the International Dyslexia Association in meeting the standards and criteria of a high quality structured literacy training program. The training includes a minimum of 50 lecture hours and 100 supervised practicum hours.  Successful completion of the program leads to a certification at the initial teacher level. The CDC training program is offered at no charge as a charity of the Scottish Rite Masonic Organization, but space is limited. Contact the CDC nearest you for specific details on the training program dates.
